“The course really helped me get a big-picture understanding of the data protection challenges within an organisation. Since taking the course, I’ve become the ‘data guy’ at work and I feel comfortable receiving and responding to requests about data protection and privacy.” –  Andrew Leeke.

This Programme of online training has 5 modules:

  • Managing Employee Data Protection (parts 1 and 2) – Takes place on: 20/09/22
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) affects all areas of your business including data of employees, workers and consultants. Employers process a lot of personal data on a day-to-day basis.
  • Recruitment and Selection – Takes place on: 04/10/22
During the recruitment process, you will collect a significant amount of information about a candidate. It is incredibly important to understand what you are collecting and why.
  • Managing the Remote Employee – Takes place on: 18/10/22
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way the organisations work; during the lockdown, entire workforces started to work from home. Now, despite some restrictions easing, many employers are choosing continue the flexibility of working remotely. This course will cover the HR and data protection challenges and opportunities that you will need to manage.
  • Managing Employee Individual Rights – Takes place on:15/11/22
Individuals can claim compensation from data controllers and data processors for a breach of the GDPR. The compensation will cover financial loss, as well as damages purely for distress. This course will focus on managing and responding to employee individual rights.
  • Managing Staff Exit – Takes place on: 29/11/22
Organisations rarely put the same effort into ‘offboarding’ an employee as they do to ‘onboarding’ a new recruit. Be it a voluntary resignation, or an involuntary departure, like redundancy, the staff exit process is often overlooked increasing the risk of a data breach.
