Formative Assessment and Questioning techniques Oxfordshire

Following a 15 year career in Executive Search, training and consultancy Angie trained as a Teacher and worked as a French Teacher, Coach, SCITT Mentor and CPD Lead at Weydon School in Surrey, a pioneering leading secondary school, gaining a PGCE in Pedagogy and Practice at the University of Sussex in 2016. She continues to teach individual and group French up to KS4.

After working in FE for Activate Learning as a Teacher Trainer and Coach, she joined the Education & Training Foundation, the Government-backed expert body for professional development and standards in the Further Education and Training sectors in England as a CPD Trainer 3 days per week, delivering T Levels and New Teacher CPD training programmes to colleges and delivery partners across the UK.

Angie has an interest in all areas of pedagogy, with a special interest in the Learning Cycle, Formative Assessment and Questioning techniques to encourage higher-level thinking, deepen understanding and maximise engagement. She is also a huge user and promotor of the use of digital tools to promote learning.

Q. What is the most dangerous thing you have done?

A. I’m definitely a ‘play it safe’ person but I do love a fast gallop across the fields on a lively horse!
